I have not been updating this website as regularly as I would like. In parts, it's due to the available events I went to shoot and the outcome of the shoots. For myself, even at present, shooting events still do not guarantee hits all the time. Sometimes there are misses, as with the past few shoots. And with work taking centerstage recently, photography has now taken a backseat. A situation which I have long dreaded would happen. So here's what I have from the past 2 to 4 months of lull in photography.

This year's Chinese New Year had something special going, a spectacular River Ang Bao show, but I've missed it out completely. But I did go for the usual CNY performance put up by Raffles City Shopping Centre.

Takashimaya 12th Anniversary Fashion Show - Bonia

This was the second of the fashion show I shot during that event. Icing on the cake was celebrities. Namely Michelle Chong, Michelle Chia, Joanne Peh, Chen Han Wei and Tay Ping Hui. Enjoy.

Takashimaya 12th Anniversary Fashion Shows - Lapargay and Waipai

2 days of pure fashion madness. Was there on the first day but got turned away as they did not allow us to shoot inside the square. Lost the mood so when out to have lunch and and all then came back in the evening to shoot from the side. Got nothing worthy from there.

Had better luck the next day. Was able to shoot from dead centre for the first show although I was in the second row and had to shoot over someone else's shoulder. Nonetheless, these are the shots from first show.

UIM F1 Power Boat 2005 - Race Day

Here are the shots from race day of UIM F1 Power Boat 2005. The race was quite boring from a spectator point of view. It had stopped and restarted 3 times, of which one of them took like half an hour. But it did had it moments. The crash of Julius Leysen and another between Scott Gillman and Cappellini Guido.

UIM F1 Power Boat 2005 - Qualifying Day

Since F1 Power Boat came back to Singapore back I've been shooting them. I went for the first one two years ago, but I didn't shoot much as I don't have the right equipment. Last year it rained. This year, I managed to capture some shots. But still, I've not captured what I have intended to.

I ended up quite late for the timed trials. They finished the trials just as I arrived at the Esplanade Bayfront area. Only managed to take these few shots by them who are probably only practicing or doing their final timed trials.

Cheng Ling

This was done way back when I was using film as the only medium for photography. I still like film, slides in particular, even after getting a digital SLR for their colour tones, a spirit of anticipation and satisfaction especially when I get them back from developing at the photo labs. Slides still surprise me each time with their rich colours and natural skin tones.
